Important
The pitboard does not come with batteries. Makita 18v batteries are required. We recommend having 2 batteries so that you always have one fully charged and ready to swap out.
Safety & Tips
- Avoid getting the board soaking wet, even though it’s water-resistant.
- Keep an eye on the 18v Makita battery levels. If there is only 1 or two bars showing; it’s probably time to charge and replace with a fresh battery.
- There is no low battery voltage shut off on the pitboard; so it will keep draining the battery and may mean the battery cannot be recharged if the battery’s charge state drops too low.
Basic Use
To begin, connect an 18v Makita battery to the board. Then, turn on the board using the switch on the back. The green LED will light up, and after about 30 seconds, the board will be ready.
The Keyboard
The keyboard works automatically with the board. Use it to display text, numbers, symbols, and access the board’s various features.

Changing Information
- Use the backspace key to delete characters one by one.
- Press the Escape key to clear the entire display.
- Use the Enter key to change rows; A blue led will appear in the top left corner of the active row.
